Almost 5 years ago, our lives changed in a way that was better than we could have hoped. Lylle came into our home as a foster. She was surrendered by the only family she had ever known after four years because she was too much to handle - too much energy and she was scaling fences trying to escape her owners yard. The day she entered our home, she was a scared and reserved girl but there was something about her that Gordie fell in love with (as did we). That first night, Gordie slept on the floor with her to comfort her. The next day, we knew she was meant to find our home. That day we #FosterFailed and signed adoption paperwork.

Today, she is a confident, sweet and spunky girl who loves nothing more than pleasing us, bird watching and spending time with her #1 fan, Gordie.
